  • That will not work, the iso in about (Gb, you have to have a Dual Layer compatible DVD drive, and use DL blank DVD's, not DVD + (those are only 4Gb capacity).  Good luck when you get you hardware upgraded...

  • Which of the 3 DR files did you download?

Are you able to burn any other .iso images to your dvd burner? Are you using Win 7 and the Windows Disc Image Burner?

  • Hello usman11,

You may have a corrupted download. This error may be caused by a bad burn of the .ISO. Try re-downloading and re-burning the .ISO file. Also, it may help to burn using a lower speed if the software you are using to burn the .ISO supports that function.

On Windows 7, the easiest way to convert this file is to use Windows Disc Image Burner

Once you have downloaded the ISO, then verify the size and Sha 1 hash. If the Sha 1 hash is not the same, then you download is corrupted and may be missing files. This will prevent the installation from installing successfully.

    Size: 3.6 GB

    Windows 8 Developer Preview English, 32-bit (x86)

Please reply back with an  update and let us know if this helps.

  • i just find out that its same sha 1 79dbf235fd49f5c1c8f8c04e24bde6e1d04da1e9
This is good. If your computed SHA-1 hash is the same as the one specified on the web site, then your download is good. Don't waste time doing the download again.
But perhaps your burn is bad...

  • You can also try making a bootable USB. You'll need a USB flash drive at least as big as the ISO you downloaded (I use 8 GB for mine). This way you won't be wasting DVDs with bad burns :-)
