Customer / Adminportal not loading RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

i've deployed Azure Stack yesterday succefully and both portals were up and running.

However now i cannot load those portals on the hostmachines. The portals are loading forever untill a "Sign-in failed"
Page with sad clouds show up. I tried restarting the SQL-VM to no luck.

    Any suggestions?

  • I've rebooted the host and now

the portal and login is loading but after logging it says:

The portal is temporary unavailable. Try to sign in again. If you still can’t access the portal, contact your cloud administrator.

All VMs are started. Any suggestions?

  • The portals are back up now after some waiting time.
Any suggestions on how to debug without having to reboot the node?

  • Hello,

This looks like there may be an ARM deadlock initializing the location data provider cache.

You can try the following to restart ARM app pool (or do an iisreset) on the was01 VM (Adminportal) & the wasp01 (tenant portal)

    For Admin portal

    Enter-PSSession AzS-was01

    Import-Module WebAdministration

    Restart-WebAppPool AzureStack-ResourceManager

Wait a few minutes and try to access the portal again. If it still fails, try:

    Enter-PSSession AzS-was01

    Import-Module WebAdministration

    IISReset

    For Tenant portal

    Enter-PSSession AzS-wasp01

    Import-Module WebAdministration

    Restart-WebAppPool AzureStack-ResourceManager

Wait a few minutes and try to access the portal again. If it still fails, try:

    Enter-PSSession AzS-wasp01

    Import-Module WebAdministration

    IISReset

Make sure to log out & log back in to refresh the Portal

  • Hi Gary,

    I have this problem also.

Restarting ARM App pool, IIS, AZS-WAS01 and the entire stack host does not fix it, even temporarily.

The eventlog on AZS-WAS01 is full of .NET, WAS, IIS and Portal-Common errors.

This started happening about 4-5days after I successfully completed the install ASDK, and was able to build a vm through the portal.

    Thanks

    Tim

  • Hi Tim,

what do you mean with re-started transparent proxy, do you mean an external proxy (not a part of ASDK)?

  • Hi Tim,

What you mean by re-started transport proxy. Can you please provide the steps in detail so I may apply as I am getting the same issue.
