extracting file failed on dotnet 1.1 RRS feed

  • i already downloaded dotnet 1.1 but when i run it "extracting file failed" occur caused by low memory or corrupted Cabinet file. How can I  solve this problem? please help me!

  • Try downloading it again. If it continues to fail, try downloading using a different browser or download manager.

    It sounds like your download is corrupt.

    BTW, what Windows version are you attempting to install v1.1 on?

    According to the description of your problem, you failed to install .NET Framework 1.1 on your machine.


    Could you please let me know what is your OS?


    In my opinion, I recommend you download it again from here:

    When you begin to install it, I advise you to disable your anti-virus and security software.


    If this issue still exists after you try this, here is my assumption:

    ·         The internet connection. (Probably ISP)

    ·         "RAM" issue.

    ·         Hard-disk problem. (may be IDE or SATA cable)

    You can try to replace the setup file to the other drive and have a try.
