Controlling Office 365 Groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there

We need to implement some tighter control and capabilities to Office 365 Groups, and sharing with External users - is there any way the following 4 key policy requirements can be implemented; I don't mind if its by manual settings, or via powershell; we just need to be able to comply with company policy, and the following requirements exist:

    1. Prevent users from sharing One Drive for Business content with External users
    2. External sharing / Group Access of content in Groups / Teams / SharePoint should be disabled by default. Administrators should be able to enable external sharing of Groups / SharePoint on a per Group / SharePoint site basis. (We can disable globally; but is there any way to then Enable on an ad-hoc basis thereafter for specific Groups/Teams/Sites?)
    3. Ideally External / Guest users should not have edit rights, they should be granted contribute rights (Current Guests by default get Edit rights - which is more rights than would be ideal - is there any way so that by default they get granted Contribute rights instead of Edit rights?)

    Any thoughts are welcome!!

    Thanks

    David
