Can I use the same certifcate that is used for Https/SSL for AS2 signing, encryption, etc RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have looked the steps needed to setup certificates in BizTalk 2010. Most is pretty straight forward.

My colleagues believe that we can use the certificate that we use for HTTPS/SSL (issued by  Entrust Certification Authority - L1C)  for BizTalk AS2 signing, encryption, etc. Is this correct?

  • Hi Dylan,

You should be able to use the same certificates for AS2 Security. More on this is available here.

  • Hi,

The only requirement for a certicate to be used in AS2 is that the Key Usage attribute of the certificate must include Digital Signature and either Data Encipherment or Key Encipherment.
