    <Hi Friends, I need to read an Excel file (*.xlsb) using oledb. But i need to keep my excel file open to read it without error. If my excel is not open, then i am getting "External table is not in expected format." error. My Excel file contains some charts. If i removed those charts then i can able to read it. I need to read the excel file without opening it. Please help Thanks in Advance, Padma

    Try utilizing a technology from Microsoft called Sql Server Integrated Services.  This is should solve your problem.
