Launching multiple instances of WF 4.5 workflow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello:

Can I create multiple instances of WorkflowApplication to launch multiple instances of my workflow at the same time? If yes, Do I need to keep the instance of WorkflowApplication alive for as long as the workflow runs?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

WorkflowApplication is a proxy to the actual workflow instance that is managed by the workflow runtime. Yes, you can create multiple instances of WorkflowApplication to launch multiple instances of your workflow at the same time. And yes, you need to keep the instance of WorkflowApplication alive for workflow running. However, if you persisted the workflow, you can load the workflow in another WorkflowApplication instance.

    Thanks.
