  • Hi Mayank,

For an aspx file, you would need to deploy the whole application (BTW, same goes for web.config also). It's generally a good idea to keep your static resources (images, js, css) outside of your package and use blob storage for that.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

Firstly, please keed in mind that if you're using >2 instances for your Web Role the deployment will not cause downtime. Secondly, if you don't want to redeploy you may use Virtual Path Provider to get aspx from an external store so that you don't need to redeploy your application.

  • we don't really know Mayank.

However, you can submit any idea here http://www.mygreatwindowsazureidea.com/forums/34192-windows-azure-feature-voting as MS Azure team will have better understanding what people need to build the next features.

  • There may be other options coming. We're all still waiting for details on the upcoming VM Role which might allow you to do what you're after.
