Cannot get WPF application to run full screen. Task bar always overlaps. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am testing our existing WPF application (www.novamind.com) to see if there are any issues in Windows 8.

    So far, I found two.

First, the dotNetInstaller fails. This is easily worked around by installing via the .msi file directly (http://downloads.novamind.com/novamind5/windows/NovaMind557.msi).

The issue is known and will be addressed in the future (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/install/dotNetInstaller.aspx).

Second, when I try to activate our full screen feature (F11) the Windows task bar always overlaps our window.

Have there been any changes to this in Windows 8? Is this a bug in the preview that will be addressed or is there anything else I need to do to get proper full screen in Desktop apps?

Seems to be very ironic that the only thing that seems to break is the full screen feature, one of the main selling points of Win8-Metro :)
