Elastic pool Vs SQL db charge RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I first create an azure Standard SQL db I expect to pay about €12/month. If I then create a DTU Standard Elastic Pool I expect to pay around €100/month.

If I include the Standard SQL db inside the Standard Elastic Pool, will the €12/month charge cease?

Answers

  • You are right, once the database is moved to elastic pool then your billing should be changed and billed at elastic pool level.

  • Hello,

You will have to pay for the hours on the month consumed as a single database, after moving the database to the pool you will no longer pay based on the single database pricing model.

    Hope this helps.

  • So once the individual azure sql database is included in an elastic pool, the charge associated with the individual azure sql database will cease, right?
