[Me] not working on custom list field RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have a 'AssignedToMeView' as list view in my SP Custom list. when i try to set filter on 'CreatedBy' equals '[Me]' it does work properly. but there is 'AssignedTo' field which is a people picker in the list. when i set a filter on that field in this view similarly('AssignedTo' equals [Me]) it displays no results even thought there are records which are assigned to me. I am just a Site owner to this site and will not be able to change anything on server side or site collection level Could you please help me on this and how can we resolve this.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks for your help.

    Thanks,
    Raghu

  • I haven't been able to reproduce your problem. Are there any other parameters on the view that might be preventing the items you expect to see from showing up? If you change the view to "AssignedTo" is NOT equal to [Me], then does it show up?

  • Better use Membership while querying:

  • Is that the only criteria for the view? If so, then SharePoint doesn't think you're logged in as the user specified in the AssignedTo field for that item.

  • I didn't solve your problem... yet, at least :) That just proves there's a mismatch between the logged in user and the user specified in that list item.

  • What are the settings for your AssignedTo field? People Only? Choose from All Users?

  • How many Person or Group fields are in the list total? Are you using a non-English install? If so, this link might be relevant to you?

  • Hi

Did anyone resolve this. It seems ridiculous that the built in function will not be able to filter on the built in field. Is there some special trick to get this working?

    Thanks
