  • Hi,
I am not able to install the .net framework 3.5 service pack 1 and .net framework 3.5 family update for .net versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86.  Everytime that I try to install it, it will start installing but never move past zero, then it will say "the following updates were not installed" and list the update.  I'm running Windows XP and have I haven't had any trouble with updates before, I always install them.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Hi tiamar,
try turning on automatic updates for win xp from your control panel. Once you are redirected to the Microsoft website and install a small plugin, it should detect all your missing updates and install the .net framework 3.5 and .net framework 3.5 SP1 by itself.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,
    George
