Custom SharePoint Library/List Alert by Field RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am hoping to create a specialized automated alert system in a shared Library in SharePoint. The Library is shared between multiple teams and we would like to provide alerts for additions/changes to the Library specific to teammates' leadership, i.e. Susie adds a document to the Library and an alert is sent to her manager Joe; Bob adds a document to the Library and alert is sent (or not sent) to his manager Mary. Is this possible? If so, what are the steps to accomplish this?
