Bing SDS Load Data Source Entity Schema RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to upload our Store data into Bing Spatial Data Services, I've built the XML schema, which contain 102 fields including the geocoded fields.

Afater many attempts to create the data source I've managed to create it with only 63 fields. All the custom fields are of type string.

When I upload the schema with 63 + 1 entity data, the job is successful, but when I add one more field again of type string - the job aborts without error message.

Are there any more restrictions to the schema, that are not documented ?

    Thank you.

  • I'm not sure how you're succeeding with 63 fields because, according to the "Supported Data Types for Entity Properties" section at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg585138.aspx, you should only be able to create 50 string fields in a single dataset!

Anyway, that's probably the problem. I don't know what the answer for you is though - do you need all those fields? Can some of them be concatenated together?

  • Hi,

I checked, the string fields are exactly 50, others are integers, two doubles for the coordinates, and dates.

Thank you for your reply, I will manage somehow to upload my data.
