Is it normal for Disk usage to be about 100% RRS feed

Answers

  • Hi,

It's usual for Disk 0 (C:) sometimes shows about 100%, but it is NOT necessarily preferable for someone.
I've heard some causes of 100% and their solusions. The below is a solution.

    1) Windows Update - Settings:
When "Install updates automatically(recommended)" is selected,
try to change it to "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them".

    2) Set to "Disabled" or "Manual" of some "Srvices":
(I guess you're using Windows 8.1, from your image of Task Manager.)

          Peer Name Resolution Protocol
          Peer Networking Grouping
          Peer Networking Identity Manager
          Windows Search
          Superfetch
          IP Helper
          Windows Update
          Background Intelligent Transfer Service
          Power

    Hope this would be helpful.
