Small Basic for Enterprise? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Small Basic is great.  I remember the days that everyone made useful little VB6 programs to help in their job.  Similarly, small Basic could be great for Business, but the Publish button would need to be redirected to work internally only.  I can see real utility in a programming language and development environment like this in the Enterprise.

  • Maybe for very small business in-house programing, there's not a huge amount of skills required. You can upload data with extensions.

The publish feature is only good for education - code sharing.

So small business could use it to try out different ideas and then maybe use this as a way to design a larger system. I think small business would benefit from some web programming as well, sales, marketing and secure data storage.

It's also slow when using larger text files.

So great intro language and possibly suitable for some other stuff. Why not?
