Invalid entries passed to /FilterFeatureSelectionTree error...

-
I've installed MS VS Community edition. When I run VS and attempt to install the Python files required, I get the an error message indication the installation has been blocked. The following error appears:
Invalid entries passed to /FilterFeatureSelectionTree switch
In a search for a solution I ran across KB Article 3039361.
In the article it says to run the following command:
VS2015.1 RC.exe /overridefeeduri <Path to feed.xml>
I have attempted to run this from the command prompt (aka 'dos window') with the correct path to the new Feed.xml with no luck. I narrowed it down to just the RC.exe but still had no luck. I executed a search on my PC for anything RC.EXE and no love.
Am I going too old school here and over-complicating things?
Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this error?

Hi CouchieFlies,
Could you please provide the link of files you installed, which can help me reproduce your problem in my side?
Please run the installation file as administrator and please make sure you have close all third part software when installing, such as antivirus software.
For this problem, I fixed with install Python Tools for Visual Studio 2015 separately from below link. After then I can create Python project with Visual Studio 2015 now.
https://github.com/Microsoft/PTVS/releases/v2.2
In addition, Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 has released. Please download and install it from below link. Please install this update first and then install the files you wanted.
