EDIFACT 92.1 with BizTalk 2006 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hello,

most of our trading partners use EDIFACT 92.1 What is the easiest way to create a schema for these documents?

Should I use the EDI Adapter and use another schema as a starting point?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Just to conclude this thread we didn't find the documentation but muddled through with snippets on the internet.

    Basically the solution is to

    • copy the earliest schema
    • change the root node name
    • change the schema to conform to EDIFACT 92.1
    • create pipeline component to set UNB7
    • create pipeline component to remove "++0++0" from UNB

  • Hi Iain,
The EDI Base Adapter is depreciated in BizTalk 2006 R2. Use brand new EDI subsystem.
It includes about 8K scheamas. If you don't find your schema in this set take the most similar schema and change it to your requirements.
Please, read the documentation to get full information.

  • I was using the EDI subsystem and the Schema isn't included.

Sorry for my ignorance but where can I find the documentation I need.
