[MS-WUSP] : self-update content directory RRS feed

  • Question

  • We  are implementing server-side of MS-WUSP and have a question about so called ‘self-update content directory’ mentioned in documents [MS-WUSP] and [MS-WUSSS].  Windows Update Agent refuses to interact via [MS-WUSP] protocol if the file ‘selfupdate/wuident.cab’ is unavailable or is not signed by Microsoft.  Where one should get the file ‘wuident.cab’ and contents of the ‘self-update content directory’?

  • Hey guys,

I have the same question as Andrey Kulaga. Can you post the general resolution here.

Alternatively, Is it acceptable to just redistribute the selfupdate folder from a WSUS installation?
