FSLogix users sometimes get local profiles RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are having an issue where occasionally a user who already has an FSLogix profile will sign into one of our two RDSH servers and get a local profile. It doesn't seem to be the same users over and over, just randomly will happen on both of the servers. We use a storage spaces direct SoFS to store the FSLogix share.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • I should note this appears to occur when a new user signs in for the first time.

  • Have you enabled the FSLogix GPO's? And specifically the settings "Prevent login with Failure" and "Prevent login with temporary profile"?

  • I do not have that enabled, if I do that and someone logs in what happens should that issue occur? I'm afraid on turning it on as we don't have a 24/7 help desk and we are open 24/7/365?

    Thank you

  • Hi Jkay,

this settings just prevent users to  log in with local\temporary profile. The key is to examine logs from computers where issue happend.

    There is powershell for it:

    Get-WinEvent -LogName FSLogix-Apps/Operational | Out-File C:\Temp\FSEvents.txt

You can share the file or find out reason by yourself.
