Data Sync option on Windows Azure Management Portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All -

Since yesterday, we can see the “Data Sync” option on Management Portal. Does this mean that SQL Azure Data Sync has been released finally to production? Whatever Data Sync groups we had created on the existing Data Sync CTP portal.. would those be migrated to the Management Portal? (Currently I don't see them actually...)

What's the difference between configuring Data Sync on the old data sync CTP portal and new option added on Management Portal?

    Can somebody clarify this please?

The “Data Sync” option on the Management Portal is a CTP3 release and this is a final preview release.

There is no option to migrate the Sync Groups from CTP2 to CTP3. You have to re-create all your Sync Groups in the new portal.

  • This is Data Sync CTP3, also known as “Preview” now. This is the final preview release and therefore closer to GA. Unfortunately,  in this release, we don’t support automatically migrate from CTP2. You may have to re-setup your sync groups.
