4010 and 5010 processing for same partner identifiers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to be able to process both 4010 and 5010 837I documents for the same set of ISA identifiers.  It does not seem to be possible.  Is this a limitation, or is there a workaround (without creating a custom pipeline).

  • Hi Paul,

This scenario is not possible if you are going to use single receive port and what you said above is absolutely right. I had worked with MSFT before on same issue and i got above resolution. That was also in Dec 2011.

I will suggest you to create a support Incident with Microsoft and take there help (http://support.microsoft.com/)

    What  we had done:

    Two BizTalk Group:

    Old one with 4010 compliance

Created new group with 5010 compliance

I asked my partner to send message to us based on our server (if 4010 send   to A, if 5010 send to B). Using this we had made sure our Identifier don't change.

  • I believe it should be possible if you deploy both the X12_00501_837.xsd and X12_00401_837.xsd Schema, and then apply two Maps on your Receive Port, that both maps to some sort of internal health care claims:

    X12_00501_837_to_IHealthCareClaim

    X12_00401_837_to_IHealthCareClaim

  • Hi Paul,

It is possible, however u need to use two different receive location. One for 4010 one for 5010. You have to check one EDIReceive pipeline property yo enable it receive 5010 message.

    Look into this blog.

This is the only workaround available, http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkediandas2/thread/e5fddaa5-02a8-486a-afcd-f38e89c675cb/

  • Yes, I've seen those posts.  I did not elaborate enough.  We are receiving 4010 or 5010 to the same receive location and we have no control over the filename.  I can only process one type, since the partner agreements will only cover one pair of ISA identifiers.

  • Hi,

I am facing similar issue, where I have to process 4010 and 5010 834 documents for the same ISA identifiers in Biztalk 2010. Do you have any solution on this?
