    I hope someone really can help me on this problem. There are PDA-Pocket PC phone and Smart Phone running Window mobile. They both have MediaPlayer, a smaller version than the MediaPlayer for PC.

    Now my question is :

    1. How to invoke the mediaPlayer in Pda-Pocket PC phone to play the ringtone or video files?

    This is my approach to detect : Html and xhtml - base browser.

    In Mobile Page, Use MobileCapabilities class  to detect the MobileBrowser type.

    if the browser is html or xhtml base , I will redirect to a Xhtml file .

    In this Xhtml file , I will include this xhtml <object> tags:

    <object data=http://abc.com/Dancing.3gp height="2" width="2" title="Play" type="video/3gpp" standby="Loading..."/>

    As the Mobile Browser in PDA-Pocket PC phone is html-Base Browser,as soon as this xhtml file is loading, the mediaplayer will play???

    please help.[:D]

    Don't know if Pocket PC web browser supports inline objects in mark up language. But you can make more common downloading mechanism. When user clicks link you start content download. Just check out this example from my blog. You can use there instead of jpg any other content type that your device supports. Just make sure you output correct Content-Type header.
