Subsite Quotas?

Question
-
I have many sub sites under a site collection.
Can I apply different storage quotas to different sub sites irrespective of what quota is applied on site collection level?
E.g.: Site collection A has 3 sub sites. I want Subsite1 to have 100 MB, Subsite3 to 200 MB and Subsite4 to 400 MB storage quota.
Thanks

Quotas are at site collection level. They can not be defined at site / sub-site level.

Hi,
according to microsoft article in my post you can only set quotas to site collection level

Please check Xing-Bing Yu suggestion about the same issue, I thin it will match your needs and I consider it as a work around

Hi,
you can prevent users from adding content to a site collection, or you can send e-mail warnings to the site collection administrator when specified disk space thresholds (in megabytes [MB]) are exceeded
On the Application Management page, in the SharePoint Site Management section, click Site collection quotas and locks. The Site Collection Quotas and Locks page opens.
If you want to change the selected site collection, in the Site Collection section, on the Site Collection menu, click Change Site Collection. Use the Select Site Collection page to select a site collection
you can only set quotas to site collection level

Hi Mike and Ahmed,
Thanks for the replies, But is there any Microsoft document which specifically says quota can not be applied on sub sites?
Basically what I want to achieve is
create 4 subsites for different dept. in our company and i want them to be able to upload a document and set quota to each dept.
If there is no other 3rd party tool or no work around to setup quota on subsites.
Then only way to achieve is to create 4 different site collections with 4 different ports?? I mean xyzdomain:1, xyzdomain: 2, xyz:3 for each dept.?
can you please suggest some a best practice in this scenario
thanks
