How to hide\disable close and resize button from custom task pane RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working on VS 2010, Outlook 2007\2010 and using C#.

I need to hide/disable/remove close and resize button from outlook add-in\CustomTaskPane.

CustomTaskPane doesn't have any property to hide or disable it.

    Please advise.

  • As mentioned in the other thread you posted in, if this is possible at all it would be by finding the custom task pane button as a Windows window using FindWindow() or FindWindowEx() if that's exposed at all. Then you would need to use other Win32 API calls to hide the button (window).

If it's at all doable you will need to do a lot of research and hunting around using Spy++. I've never heard of anyone doing this and posting about it, so you'd be completely on your own.

If you do find a way to do this, please post back with your solution. I'm sure many others would be interested.
