Windows 7x64, Netmon 3.4 - how to bind adapter to netmon driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed NetMon 3.4 and I need to monitor specific traffic on my PC in order to track down a kerberos token issue.

When I select 'Start' to begin a capture, we receive the following error message:  "None of the network adapters are bound to the netmon driver.  If you have just installed, you may need to log out and log back in order to obtain the proper rights to capture.  Please refer to the product help for more information."
I am an administrator on my windows 7 machine (part of a corporate domain).

When I log out and back in nothing changes and the same error is displayed each time I try to Start a capture.

I uninstalled and re-installed using the run as administrator function... no change.

How do I bind the driver to the adapter?

    Thank you

  • Run Netmon 3.4 As Administrator... I had same problem on Windows Server 2012 and this resolved it for me.
