System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.ScrollableControl leaves a ghost scrollbar when maximizing an MDI child window RRS feed

  • Question

  • The System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.ScrollableControl leaves a ghost scrollbar when maximizing an MDI child window.
I've created a simple test project to reproduce the problem.

    Run the attached sample project.
Move the scrollbar as shown in Before.png

    .
    Maximize the MDI child window.
Notice the problem as shown in After.png.

The sample project can be found here.

  • Hi BullyOwner,

I've also test on my side, it  works fine on my side.

Here is my screen capture. You can check.

Per my understanding, this issue related to your computer environment for example your processor or ram or OS. My computer is win10 x64. Please also do some more test.

  • The problem appears on all of our machines, including Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10.

  • Also not reproducible here on Win7/Win10 machines.

Are you running the program under VM environment? Or does your machine have display driver hooking applications such as VNC installed?

  • No, this is running on physical machines, not VM.
