Bluetooth devices in C# vb.net? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Could we just have a simple example/Sample  (No Javascript but VB or C#) on how to implement/deal with a BT (not LE) device, connect to it and get data from it from a Metro app? I explored BT LE sample, looked at windows.networking.proximity, watched several build conferences videos with no luck on defining the best way to handle BT devices. The devices I want to connect are Medical Devices, different purposes, different brands. Do I need to write C++ driver for each device?

And to you MS guys : How come I feel let down when I see you all turn to Javascript/Html (many more samples in JS than C#/Vb.net), could you clarify your future Policy on this???

  • Can you give an example of a device that supports communications over Bluetooth? In general the best way to communicate with an external device is defined by the device manufacturer.

Regarding Windows Store style code samples, all samples should now be available in JS, C# and C++.
