Architecture for storing user preferences. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have an in-house (windows integrated authentication) asp.net application and we need to implement another module which will store the user preferences information for example

    1) the now of rows we need to show the user for a grid.

    2) what is the default sort order that a user wants.

    .....etc

if it was forms authentication we could have used the user profiles,  so we have to go the route of creating a custom db or something.

based on your architecture experiences can you please suggest a best practice to achieve this?

    thanks
