Access Version & PowerBI - Can't Connect

Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I have MS Access 2016 (16.0.4738.1000 32-bit) installed on my laptop.
My laptop is Windows 10 64-bit
I installed PowerBI Desktop and it installed the 64-bit version automatically

I am having issues connecting PowerBI to Access and I'm getting the following error.

I found a solution that says to download the executable version of Access
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

However when I try to install the 64-bit, which PowerBI needs, it says it cannot because I have Access 32-bit already installed. If I install the 32-bit file, I still have the same error.

Is there a way to get around this?

Any help would be great.

After I posted, it hit me... here is the solution:

The issue is the version of MS Access and PowerBI. When you install PowerBI from the Microsoft Store it auto detects the Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit) and installs the 32-bit or 64-bit version of PowerBI.

My laptop is 64-bit Windows10.

Therefore my 32-bit Access and 64-bit PowerBI are not able to “speak”.

The Fix:

Uninstall 64-bit PowerBI
Install Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255)
Install PowerBI 32-bit by following the directions here (DON’T INSTALL FROM MICROSOFT STORE)
