Are microsoft/windowsservercore containers working on Windows 10?

    Question

  • Hi I tried to runa microsoft/windowsservercore  container on windows 10.

    Note: container version is:

    microsoft/windowsservercore   10.0.14300.1030

    OS version is:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14372]

    When I try to run it I am getting:

    C:\dockerStuff\docker.exe: Error response from daemon: container d9962e154770d73dc96de34600f9681c4dfa8bf8d056894c281991ddc7fcfc21 encountered an error during Start failed in Win32: The operating system of the container does not match the operating system of the host. (0xc0370101).

  • No, currently only Hyper-V Containers with the Nano Server base image work on Windows 10 insider builds.
