Using both WinDDA and WebDDA in the same application. RRS feed

    Hi,

    Can we use both WinDDA and WebDDA in the same application?

    We have a web application. But on trying to access its URL, the IE pops up a window asking for User Id and password. We plan to automate this process. We plan to use automation adapter.

    The initialization string has this tag:

     <DataDrivenAdapterBindings>
      <Type>Microsoft.Ccf.HostedApplicationToolkit.DataDrivenAdapter.WebDataDrivenAdapter, Microsoft.Ccf.HostedApplicationToolkit.DataDrivenAdapter</Type>
      <Controls >
       <HyperLink name="name goes here">
        <Url>URL</Url>
       </HyperLink>
       <TextAreaElement name="name goes here">
        <AttributeMatchPath/>
       </TextAreaElement>
      </Controls>
     </DataDrivenAdapterBindings>

    Can we use the WinDDA tag in the same initialization string and access the controls of the windows popup there ?

       <DataDrivenAdapterBindings>
        <Type>Microsoft.Ccf.HostedApplicationToolkit.DataDrivenAdapter.WinDataDrivenAdapter, Microsoft.Ccf.HostedApplicationToolkit.DataDrivenAdapter</Type>
        <Controls />
      </DataDrivenAdapterBindings>

    It is throwing error when I am trying to do this. What is the solution for this? Kindly post the code snippet for this!!

    Thanks a lot.

  • You can only use one type of DDA config per DDA Type.
    I assume you are talking about the Windows Login Prompt?

    What I would suggest you do there is Build up an Automaton object in your code, You should be able to get a handle desktop from there and then go after the login Window and populate it from the agent credentials array in the DDA.
