  • Question

  • I have a report displaying as follows:

    Month 1

    category 1       $ total amount

    category 2       $total amount

    category 3       $total amount

    Month 1 total amount

    Month 2

    category 1       $ total amount

    category 2       $total amount

    category 3       $total amount

    Month 2 total amount

    Month 3

    category 1       $ total amount

    category 2       $total amount

    category 3       $total amount

    Month 3 total amount

    Report total amount (all categories)

What I would like is in addition to the report total for all categories to also have a total amount in each category for all months displayed on report.  I am using a date header for the month , under that a category header with a sum of the prices for that category for each month.  Is there a way to also add a grand total for all time periods for each individual category in the report footer above the grand total?  thank you

  • If you don't want it in the Month footer (where it more naturally belongs), then you have to create a subreport.

  • Hello,

I agree with Tom. You could create a sub report and group by category.

The sub report I created is based on a query group by Field2:
