Changing a UILabel in storyboard color in Xamarin Studio RRS feed

I can't believe I'm asking this... but I can't seem to change the color of a label (iOS) in Xamarin Studio (6.1.1). I have a label in a view, on a storyboard, I select it, I change the label color... and nothing happens. I can open the storyboard in XCode and make the change without an issue, but nothing happens in Xamarin.

I must be missing something... this is baseline functionality.... anyone else seeing this?

AH. You have to change the label to Attributed from plain. Which, you don't have to do in Xcode. Is there a reason for this?!?!?!

Same issue here on Mac (Xamarin Studio Community 6.1.1 build 15), and experience has proven that the workaround you found doesn't work all the time. :(

Right, I am on a Mac as well. Same version. Issue existed before this last release as well. I have yet to see my workaround not work, though I am only a day in to using it.

    Pretty shocking...

I've also been having this issue. The solution for me is to change the label to any colour, then change it to default colour, and then change it to the colour I actually desire. The change to default colour seems to rectify whatever the underlying problem is.

Holy cow James, that works! Thanks, I like that better than my approach. So we at least have two work arounds now.

Any Xamarin folks listening? It's pretty amazing that this bug exists. There are a handful of other things I have run into that seem pretty obvious as well... are they not supporting this product and instead focussing on the VS integration? Maybe just minimally?

I just tried to reproduce this with XS 6.1.5 but could not. Is anyone on this thread still seeing the described behavior?
