Windows Resize Arrows Not Showing Up -- Visual Studio Community Edition 2015

    Question

  • Hi,

    Interesting question. I am at a client site and they have Visual Studio Community Edition 2015. Windows, such as the Solution Explorer window or the Properties window or the Output window can't be resized. When we hover the mouse over the barrier line between these windows, no resize arrows show up.

    Does anyone have any ideas? I've never seen this issue before.

  • Hi Croix,

    According to your description, please refer to the following steps:

    1). Please click Window menu->Reset Window Layout to see the results.

    2). Reset the VS. Click Start->Developer Command Prompt for VS-> type “devenv.exe /ResetSettings”

    3). If above steps do not work for you, please run your VS in safe mode:

    In Developer Command Prompt for VS, type “devenv.exe /SafeMode”  to see the results.

    Please feel free to let me know your latest results.
