How to ignore column in destination flat file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I choose one column to write into my destination flat file.( as per the picture)

Above is the output text file. Why I am getting empty column seperated by comma(,). I want only one column in my destination text file. Could you please explain what's going on here?

Answers

  • You see the extra commas in the file because when you configured the destination file connection manager you specified a file which had 8 columns. Change your destination file connection manager and use a file with only RowNumberAll column in it so that it creates a file with a single column.

  • this is only the mapping telling you which column gets filled with what... the only thing you can do is to change the Connection Manager itself.
