.NET framework 4.2 on Windows embedded RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I had created an WCF service for hosting on an windows embedded standard pc.

But now my problem is, that I need an .NET framework 4.2 or bigger to run this service.

    Where do I find this?

Is it posible or do your know a way to host a WCF service by an windows embedded pc.

Have you tried the .Net 4.5? It should work.

There are a couple of options to implement web service hosing on Windows Embedded Compact 7:
    - Use the native C/C++ DPWS (Device Profile for WebServices) API available in CE.

    - the .NET Micro Framework (www.netmf.com, netmf.codeplex.com) has a managed DPWS stack. You easily port this code to .NET CF. Make sure the license allows this kind of usage.
