SSIS Without Source Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

We have a SSIS package running on one server. But we dont have the code for that SSIS package anymore. And its not worth to re-write the code again because that SSIS will be replaced with new package very soon.

Now we need to move the ssis package to new server, is there any way i can move the ssis package to new server without code?

    Thanks!

  • right click on the package and select EXPORT , then select your destination SQL server, remeber that you have to check the configuration of the package if it's using any

    example...

    EXEC xp_cmdshell 'dtutil /SOURCESERVER SourceSQLName /SQL pkgName /DestSERVER DesSQLName /COPY SQL;pkgName'
