How to communicate an ASP.NET web app and an iOS app RRS feed

We have a web application developed with ASP.NET and we are interested in writing a iOS mobile app. Such a mobile app should access our database which is located in a Windows Server 2008 machine in order to perform insert, delete and update operations and also to get records from it and use them in our mobile app. What is the best way to achieve this functionality?

    Respectfully,

If you are looking for iOS thick application, then check this link - https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

If you are looking for an web app, which works on mobile browsers, then general ASP.NET web application works fine in all Mobile browsers!

    Hi,

additionally to the post above: If you want to have the ASP.NET web application and the iOS app separated you could do the data access through a web service. This service handles the communication with the database and in your application you only have to call the appropriate methods from the web service.

    Hello

I know this is an old topic but I found it and it's related with my work right now

The litle difference is the next:

We have a  Website developed in ASP that uses a DWF plug-in (this plug-in) is the difference but now we need it is required that the same website can also work on iOS mobile devices, is there a way to make this happen? The website has to work both in PC and iPad/iPhone/iPod

I've seen that in the app store are lots of free DWF visualizers, so, is there a way to make an instance of the visualizer to make it usable in the asp website or something like this??

Hope you guys can help me out, at first I'd like to know if it's even possible, after that I'll keep searching. Thank you in advance
