Default infobox width and height RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently I do not see how to set the width and height of the default info box. Will this be implemented soon?

    ie:

    var infobox = new Microsoft.Maps.Infobox(center, { title: 'Map Center',
        description: 'Seattle', width: 600, height: 500 });

    What's up.

  • There are no plans to support width/height for infoboxes as the infobox is designed to grow to the size of your content. There is however plans to add maxWidth/maxHeight options which will allow you to specify how large the infobox can grow in any direction. This will likely be added in a few months time as it is a fairly low priority feature.

    However, if you want the infobox to be a fixed size all the time there is an unsupported hack that can be used for now (will likely break at some point). This would also only work for the width. You can use CSS:

    .MicrosoftMap .Infobox{

    width:500px;

    }
