AZMAN use case - ecommerce? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Has/Can AZMAN be used for managing customer authorizations? For example for entitlements, products, billing entitlement/payments, etc? Or is it generally used for internal application authorizations only?

If so, can you provide an example of how we would set this up?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Actually, I am a bit confused about what exactly you are asking.

If you are looking for an example using the AZMAN in ASP.NET(Since as far as I know, the ecommerce is usually written with the web application), you can check this link:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff649313.aspx

    >>Or is it generally used for internal application authorizations only?

AzMan is a role-based access control (RBAC) framework that provides an administrative tool to manage authorization policy and a runtime that allows applications to perform access checks against that policy.

For details, please see this article:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb897401.aspx

If I misunderstand, please let me know.

    Regards.
