Information required on purpose of CloudPool.ApplicationLicenses RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Our applications use FlexLM to handle licensing.   We are using Azure Batch to execute workloads using our application and currently looking at providing the application licensing via a License Server VM setup on a VPC attached to the Batch Pool.

But I just found the property CloudPool.ApplicationLicenses with the description "The list of application licenses must be a subset of available Batch service application licenses."  I cannot find any other documentation around this.

Can anyone direct me to a sample or documentation giving any detail on what this property is for and how to use it ?

  • Hi Michael,

Yes, this new property is for supporting commercial applications on Azure Batch and allowing for pay-per-use metering. It's somewhat of an involved process to onboard but we can certainly have a more detailed discussion around this. Can you email me directly (dave.fellows@microsoft.com) and we can discuss further?

    Thanks
