  • Hi Praveen,

SSMA 2008 for Sybase Extension pack v4.0 installer doesn’t work with cluster.

You will have to install extension pack manually.

Please follow the following instructions for manual installation of Extension Pack on cluster.

Manual SSMA for Sybase Extension Pack v4.0 installation:

      1. Make sure 'bin' and 'scripts' folders are available for all cluster nodes with the same folder path.

<Drive:\Path>\Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant 2008 for Sybase Extension Pack

<Drive:\Path>\Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant 2008 for Sybase Extension Pack\scripts

<Drive:\Path>\Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant 2008 for Sybase Extension Pack\bin

      2. Do manually replace all %SSMA_S2SS_EP_HOME% occurrences in 'scripts\*.sql' with '<Drive:\Path>\ Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant 2008 for Sybase Extension Pack’

      scripts\ migration-with-bcp.sql

      scripts\ register_tester_clr.sql

      3. Login to your cluster instance and run the following scripts on following databases

    FileName

    Database Name

    ../scripts/drop-db-2005.sql

    [master]

    ../scripts/create-db-2005.sql

    [master]

    ../scripts/migration-with-bcp.sql

    [sysdb]

    ../scripts/sysdb_sybase.ssma.sql

    [sysdb]

This procedure should install Extension Pack without tester database which I believe you don’t need.

    Thanks,

    Krishna
