WinCE Screen Size RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have the Motorola Scanner MC3100 which has screen resolution 320x320

when I created a winCE application, I changed the form size to 320x320 and it displayed good when I debugged the application on the physical device. But I have a question about positioning controls on the form. If you look at the form below, it has four buttons. when I deploy my app with the controls positioned like below, all the buttons are shown on the screen on the device. But if I move button 1 little up, and button3 little down, then I debug the application on the device, the system displays half of the button 3 and button 1.

is there a dedicated region on the form that controls should not be in?

  • AFAIK there's no such region. You may want to check the following:

    1. Check the size of the form vs. size of the client rectangle.

    2. See if you have other controls like panels which may clip these buttons.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your advise. Yes Visual Studio added automatically a mainmenu control to my form, I am not sure why. I deleted it anyways.
