Using Apllication as Windows Shell / Network Access Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we got an device with windows embedded 8 standard.

Now i am integrating our application to it. The Application is started as Windows shell.

The Problem is, that I have no network access with this user. the other user (with explorer as shell) works fine. also the app works fine on it.

What restriction I have to check? Can someone help me?

    Regards

    Ingo

  • Hi,

    I have tried WindowsImpersonationContext.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5z4b2h41?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396&cs-save-lang=1&cs-lang=vb#code-snippet-2

    I get Errorcode 1326

    ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE
    1326 (0x52E)

The user name or password is incorrect.

This Code runs fine under the User Windows Login...

    Any Ideas?

    Regards

    Ingo

  • The problem is that the application boots faster than the network service has time to load.  In the application you will want to do a wait on service  - specifically Server service (LanmanServer). Explorer shell has the delay built in.
