Bing Map V8 Web Control Supported Browsers

Question

So I am looking at the supported browser for Bing Map V8 Web Control and it mentions "most modern browsers that has HTML 5 enabled" .Bing Maps V8 Web Control . AFAIK as I know Internet Explorer 8 only have a few HTML5 api enabled such as cross document messaging and non-sql storage. Is there a way for me to determine definitively (yes/no) that V8 will work on IE 8?

The list of supported browsers is documented here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt712867.aspx IE8/9/10 are not supported browsers as their HTML5 support is very poor and do not provide the functionality that V8 needs. Also, the marketshare of these browsers are very small an shrinking fast.
