Kinect v2 Joint Angle Accuracy RRS feed

    I am making an application that calculates joint angles using the position of the three joints. An example is knee flexion that is the angle at the knee using y and z position data. 

    From testing I am getting some weird results. The test would start with the person standing straight up, square to the camera and then squat down and then stand back up. I am seeing that the starting angle(before the squat) is off from the end angle(after the squat). It is sometimes below and sometimes above. Also the starting and end angles between legs are off when we would expect them to be very similar.

    My questions:

    - What could be causing the difference between the starting and end angles?

    - What could be causing the difference between the right and left leg angles?

    - Is the Kinect v2 as accurate as it can be as soon as it is turned on or does a warm up procedure help accuracy of joint tracking at all?
