Select value from sheet 1 and display in sheet 2

Hi,

     I got 2 sheets in excel 2003,

in sheet 1 i display employee names with serial no like

1 John

2Tracy

3 Kumar, now my question in in sheet 2 i wan to retrieve the values from sheet one

like in sheet 2 i specify a serial no from sheet one in one of the cell and when i click a button i want to display the corresponding name in sheet 2, how could i achieve this

No need for VBA, search help for teh vlookup function. It does exactly what you want.
