Code snippet to HIDE Title field in a form

    Question

  • Since SPD 2013 no longer has a design view, what code snippet can I use to HIDE the "Title" field in a display/edit/new form?

I have the list modified so that Title is NOT CHECKED to display, but that seems to only affect the display of the list, not the form.  The list is a custom list and was not created by copying a site content type.

  • Hi RedSP,

To hide the "Title" field in a display/edit/new form, you could hide the title field by editing the content type in the list.

Go to list settings->content types->click items->click title column->select “Hide (Will not appear in forms)” and save the changes.

If there is no content types in list settings, go to list settings->advanced settings-> check yes for “Allow management of content types?”.

To hide the "Title" field in the display of the list, you could modify the view of the list and uncheck the title in the columns.

    Best regards,
