  • Hello, I am new to PCL concept and need help on creating a PCL library.

    How does PCL executable look like and what is the input source when troubleshooting the library.

  • PCL are just class libraries that are mostly meant for use with cross platform apps.  The way they work is you select which platforms you want to support and the .net framework functions that are in all platforms you can use.  Please note PCL are being replaced with .net standard libraries.

  • Please do not bother using PCLs. PCL was an attempt at cross platform libraries but it didn't work out. PCLs are effectively obsolete with the introduction of .NET standard and .NET core. The MS recommendation is going to be using .NET standard going forward.
